AAC block wall
AAC block calculator
Estimate whole AAC blocks from net wall area, actual block face dimensions, explicit installed joints and waste.

Result
Plan AAC blocks with explicit joints
AAC or gas-concrete blocks need their own actual face dimensions and the joint system you intend to use. The calculator does not assume a thin adhesive joint just because the material is AAC.
How to use it
- Enter net wall area, actual AAC block face length and height, positive head and bed joints, and your own waste percentage.
- Add the selected SKU's units per package only if you know it; verify the joint and adhesive system separately.
Formula
Module face area = (actual AAC length + head joint) × (actual AAC height + bed joint). Divide net wall area by the module, add explicit waste, round up to whole blocks, then to packages when a package count is provided.
Example
For 12 m² net area, an actual 59.8 cm × 19.8 cm block and explicit 2 mm joints form a 0.12 m² module. That is 100 equivalents; with 5% waste, plan 105 blocks. At 30 blocks per package, buy four packages, or 120 blocks, leaving 15 by count.
What the estimate uses
- One AAC block SKU, actual face dimensions, positive joints and a net area already reduced by openings.
Limits
- No adhesive type, consumption or standard thin-joint width is selected automatically.
- Panels, lintels, structural suitability, wall thickness, cuts and bond layout are outside this count.
AAC block question
Does AAC always use a 2 mm joint?
No. Joint dimensions depend on the selected block, adhesive and installation system. Enter the actual positive values specified for your planned work; 2 mm is only an example here.
