Concrete planning

Concrete volume calculator

Estimate wet concrete for one rectangular pour and optional whole packages using declared wet yield.

Dimensions for a concrete pour

Enter measured pour dimensions and your own allowance. Package yields are optional; no mix or bag size is assumed.

Unit system

Changing units preserves the same physical measurements and exact result.

Required
m

Enter a positive dimension. You can use a decimal point or comma.

Required

Enter a positive dimension. You can use a decimal point or comma.

Required
m

Enter a positive dimension. You can use a decimal point or comma.

Required
%

Enter your explicit allowance from 0 to 1000 percent.

Optional package yields

No package yields added. Concrete volume can still be calculated.

Plan concrete for one rectangular fill

Use measured length, width and fill depth for a rectangular space. The package result needs the usable volume of ready mix declared for the exact product you plan to buy.

How to use it

  1. Enter the three measured dimensions and your own waste percentage; no standard allowance is inserted.
  2. For a purchase estimate, enter the declared mixed-concrete yield per package, not the dry bag weight.

Formula

Base volume = length × width × fill depth. Required volume = base volume × (1 + waste ÷ 100). Whole packages are selected by declared usable yield.

Example

A 4 m × 3 m × 0.1 m fill is 1.2 m³. With 10% waste, plan 1.32 m³. At a declared yield of 0.25 m³ per package, six packages provide 1.5 m³, leaving 0.18 m³ by volume.

What the estimate uses

  • The fill is rectangular and has one uniform depth; yield and waste come only from your inputs.

Limits

  • Bag mass alone is not converted into concrete volume; no mix recipe or product suitability is inferred.
  • This is not a structural design, footing plan, reinforcement estimate or guarantee of delivered volume.

Concrete volume question

Can I use the bag weight instead of its yield?

No. Check the selected product's label or technical sheet for its usable mixed-concrete yield and enter that volume if you want a package count.
